El origami o papiroflexia es un arte que consiste en el plegado de papel sin usar tijeras ni pegamento para obtener figuras de formas variadas, muchas de las cuales podrían considerarse como esculturas de papel.
The word "origami" has two parts: "ori", which means "folding", and "kami", which means "paper" (kami changes to gami due to a phonological process). Origami is the art of paper folding and it is often associated with Japanese culture.
